Management

James Van Staveren, CEO

With a background in economics and working for technology businesses, Mr. Van Staveren has worked a decade in the capital markets, finance, investor relations and in corporate development.

Daniel Proska, CCO

With over 15 years of experience in senior sales and revenue growth roles across diverse sectors—ranging from medical devices and robotics to software and cybersecurity—Mr. Proska has demonstrated a unique capacity for driving business expansion. Notably, his contributions were pivotal in Venus Concepts' growth from $5 million to over $100 million in revenue, and supporting its growth to a NASDAQ listing.

Joshua Bald, CFO

Josh formerly served Ernst and Young in audit and assurance, and has since acquired several years of public company experience including the capital markets and leading strategy, growth and corporate finance.

Michael Kitchen

Mr. Michael Kitchen, with over 25 years of experience in executive and leadership roles, including at BMO Financial Group, is an accomplished leader known for building successful cultures and companies. His expertise spans driving revenue growth, business expansion, and enhancing financial performance. At BMO, he led teams of 1,300 people and managed multiple business units, generating over $5 billion in annual revenue. Mr. Kitchen's extensive experience in payment technology, fraud prevention, and financial services sectors has equipped him with the ability to implement large-scale change initiatives, foster innovation, and ensure operational success. He has developed and executed strategies for financial products and spearheaded business acquisitions and integrations. After BMO, he served as CEO of an early-stage company, guiding its operational growth and forming a joint venture to enter the U.S. market.

Michael Minder

Michael Minder is a seasoned finance professional with over 15 years of international banking experience. He held senior leadership roles in Asset and Wealth Management for Credit Suisse Group in both Switzerland and North America, managing assets of high net worth accounts. In 1998 he left the Credit Suisse Group to form his own firm providing international investment banking and investor relations advisory services to numerous U.S., Canadian, and European listed companies.

Greg Van Staveren

Mr. Van Staveren, CPA is the President of Strategic Financial Services, a private company providing ongoing business advisory and support services to emerging companies. In addition to advisory roles, he has acted as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer or as a member of Board of Directors for many private and public companies and has been a key part of management for several very successful high growth companies. Until 1998, he was Partner at KPMG, a professional services firm where he provided compliance, advisory and strategic services for his clients. It is expected that Mr. Van Staveren’s management expertise in supporting developing companies will support the growing structures and systems needed for Scryb’s growth.


Strategic Advisory Board

Igal Roytblat

Igal Roytblat is a seasoned technology leader with over 25 years of experience in the sector, including serving as the CTO of Scryb from 2018 to 2024. Igal led the development of a high-throughput COVID testing system that was implemented at Toronto Pearson during the COVID pandemic, and he spearheaded the building of AI capabilities at Scryb. He was also part of the Scryb team that identified the cybersecurity potential and led the acquisition of Cybeats, driving its pivot to SBOM management. Igal also led several innovative and fast prototyping activities at Scryb. Before joining Scryb, he spent more than a decade as CTO at Kangaroo Group, overseeing software and hardware development until its acquisition by Starfish Medical. He also served as Chief Software Architect at IMAX Corporation, contributing to the MPX product line. Igal's deep expertise in electro-optical systems, machine vision, and digital signal processing is instrumental in driving technological advancements in medical devices.

Barack Carmon

Mr. Carmon is a life-long technology entrepreneur, with multiple successful exits and over 30 years of experience. He has co-founded and served in executive technical, operational, financial and business development positions in four companies. Currently he is the Managing director of JBCI Holdings, an advisory firm which specializes in fundraising, business development and strategic planning and focuses on North American and Israeli-related opportunities. He is also an advisor to a number of family offices and funds. Barak earned a Bachelor's in Economics with a specialization in computing from UCLA and Tel Aviv University and an MBA from Tel Aviv University, both magna cum laude.

Chuck Brooks

Chuck Brooks has been an advisor for Scryb since May 2021, playing a pivotal role in supporting the development of Cybeats, Scryb's cybersecurity venture. As a globally recognized thought leader and advocate for cybersecurity and emerging technologies, Chuck was named a “Top 50 Global Influencer in Risk, Compliance” by Thomson Reuters and ranked as the #2 Global Cybersecurity Influencer by IFSEC. A two-time Presidential appointee and original member of the Department of Homeland Security, Chuck is also a faculty member at Georgetown University, where he teaches in the Graduate Applied Intelligence and Cybersecurity Programs. As a contributor to Forbes and a featured speaker at prestigious events such as the G20, he is at the forefront of AI adoption and technological innovation.
